Yes, we are! We are pleased to offer 5G to all Superdrug Mobile customers at no extra cost – it’s included in all our plans for FREE. You have a 5G signal when you see the 5G logo on your device. Superdrug Mobile is powered by Three, the UK’s fastest 5G network*.

5G is being rolled out across our network and coverage is improving constantly; it’s not available in every area yet. You can check your 5G coverage here: coverage.

Please note, 5G requires a compatible device to work.

What is 5G?

5G is wireless internet access at a much higher speed. It’s a stronger and more reliable connection. You can expect:

- Increased download speeds

- Less buffering

- Quicker, faster response times


Is my SIM 5G ready?

Yes, all our SIMs connect to 5G where it’s available. Your device will connect automatically to 5G; if it doesn’t you can check 5G is enabled in your device's network settings. Contact us if you’re unsure how to do this.


Does 5G use more data than 4G?

It doesn’t use more data. If you’re downloading a video, the amount of data you use is the same whether you use 4G or 5G. All downloads happen faster with 5G so you might find yourself using more data because it’s quicker and you want to see more!


Can I do a speed test for 5G?

You can complete a speed test if you wish. Please be aware that, on average, this can use up to 1.5GB of your data.


Can I tether with 5G?

Yes, you can, in the same way you were before.


5G isn't available in my area yet

You can still use our 4G service for data connections until 5G is available in your area. Come back and look at our coverage checker which will tell you when 5G is live for you to use.
