What is an eSIM?

It's an embedded SIM

An eSIM is a virtual version of the physical SIM cards we have in our phones and means an 'embedded' SIM.

This type of SIM stays inside your phone and can’t be removed. Some manufacturers have produced handsets that are eSIM enabled. In the UK, it's not a requirement to have an eSIM; your phone will still work with a physical SIM card.

Superdrug Mobile doesn't offer eSIMs yet; we'll let you know when this changes.
