We’ve got to look after the younger generation of mobile users, and one way to do so is to protect them from being able to access potentially inappropriate content on the internet.
We automatically apply our parental control filters to all customers. This allows us to make sure that Superdrug Mobile’s new, younger customers are not put at any unnecessary risk.
I don’t need these controls, how do I change them?
There are two ways to do this:
You can log in to your dashboard, select ‘Account settings’ from the menu and turn the filter off. To verify that you’re an adult we require you to register a valid credit card (not a debit card), which we validate by taking a £1 transaction and immediately refunding it.
You can contact us to let us know you want to turn the controls off. We can do this for you once we’ve seen a copy of your driving licence or passport, which you can share in a web chat with us.
If you ever want to block adult content on your phone again, simply head back to your dashboard and turn the filter back on.
Good to know: whether turning the filter on or off, it’ll take a few minutes for your SIM to update. If it hasn’t updated after 15 minutes, you may need to restart your device.
